Except for teachers applying through the English-Speaking Union (ESU), the fees for students from the USA are determined by the relevant agent. These include tuition, meals, accommodation and supplemental services.

Accommodation

Students and staff stay in single rooms in University accommodation at Pollock Halls in Edinburgh, which is situated adjacent to Arthur's Seat, an extinct volcano. Students can book either standard on en-suite accommodation. Pollock Halls is within walking distance of the city centre and the main university area. It is a modern complex of student residences, with a computer lab, a refectory, a restaurant, shop and bars. Internet access is also available in all the student rooms if requested and in the University computer facilities and the Main Library. Teaching takes place at the George Square site of the University of Edinburgh, which is a fifteen-minute walk from the residences.

Students who wish to attend SUISS without booking the School's residential facilties may do so, in which case they must make their own accommodation arrangements and inform the School of their Edinburgh address.

Study Week

For students wishing to attend the Modernism course and the Creative Writing course whilst staying on campus between the two modules without attending the academic programme, we offer the possibility of booking a study week with SUISS, which covers the use of Edinburgh University's library, lunch on weekdays and all evening events. If chosen, accommodation should then be booked for the whole course (3 terms).
